New Businesses in the Parish

The progress at the new Lowe's is nice to see, it bodes well for the future of the Parish. The fact that a major company like Lowe's has confidence in the area should give us all a boost. Welcome to the Parish, and we look forward to the opening.

Hospital Update

As an observer of the new hospital's progress, or lack of progress, for the past few years, it is a pleasure and relief to see that progress finally appears to be taking place. The new hospital board, under the leadership of Wayne Landry, and including members George Cavignac, Jim DiFatta, Ron Chapman, and Danny Dysart, seems to be heading in the right direction. This is a quick and welcome change after the past few years of seemingly little progress. There can be little argument that we need a hospital, and hopefully things are moving in the right direction.
